3D Printed Prosthetics & Orthotics

Swift Prosthetics is proud to be the only prosthetic clinic in the UK with a specialised in-house design service. We use computer aided design software coupled with advanced 3D printing technologies, to design and manufacture innovative prosthetic, and orthotic, solutions.

Prosthetic Digits

Exo Digits are functional articulating finger prostheses for different levels of finger loss. They are body powered, meaning the prosthetic joints are operated mechanically by the remaining finger length, hand or wrist. Exo Digits are manufactured using cutting-edge metal 3D printers and are available in stainless steel or anodised aluminium with the option of a reality finish, high definition silicone finger tip for enhanced lifelike appearance.

3DP Prosthetic Sockets

Our trans-tibial (below knee) prosthetic sockets are designed to optimise prosthetic alignment and can include socket design features such as variable socket thicknesses, integrated prosthetic strengthening frames and ventilation holes. The 3DP socket includes options for both pin-lock liner, and suction, suspension methods including elevated vacuum. The unique features and precise manufacturing methods allow us to optimise both socket comfort and performance.

Cosmetic Calf shapes

We design and manufacture strong, lightweight 3D printed prosthetic covers to seamlessly fit our clients’ prostheses. These can be finished in a range of styles, including eye catching colour options and hydro-graphic patterns or combined with silicone leg covers for an authentic cosmetic appearance.

Custom Orthotic Solutions

At Swift Prosthetics we use our expertise to design and develop unique one off 3D printed orthotic solutions. For example, this Wrist Hand Orthosis which includes positional wrist control and 4th and 5th finger extension assist.
