Bio-mechanical Gait Analysis
We offer three dimensional biomechanical gait analysis using state-of-the art equipment, infra-red camera systems and force plates. Full gait analysis includes measuring joint movement, the forces going through the joints and the power generated by the joints. The efficiency of the individual’s gait can also be measured.
Gait analysis is particular useful when assessing and comparing different prosthetic prescriptions and devices. It gives quantifiable outcomes which can be used to help guide rehabilitation decisions as well as being part of medico-legal assessments.
